Neudorf Rosie's Black Amphora Chardonnay 2022, Nelson

What an excellent wine and one that showcases the breadth and depth of Chardonnay, and, that Chardonnay doesn’t need oak to be fabulous. Aromas and flavours of apple and flowers, whites rose and chalk, lemon and white peach. A dry wine on the palate and one that delivers of core fruit flavours, textures and compelxity. The amphora ferment technique captures flavours and textures of soil and place, a chablis-like style with its floral highlights and pristine fruit flavours from citrus to stone fruits then soil and chalky textures. A lovely wine ready to drink from 2023 through 2029+.
