Amisfield Pinot Noir 2011, Central Otago
Library tasting
Noticeably more translucent in appearance with lighter ruby and red core with a hint of variation at the rim. Lovely primary fruit and floral aromas with cherries and raspberries, light red plum and rose then a tease of savoury dried herbs, complexity and intrigue. On the palate - aromas translate into flavours almost seamlessly, there’s a perfect balance here with fine integrated tannins, poised and dry with medium+ ish acidity. Light and lengthy, all tapers off quite quickly, but a very nice wine with a delicate complexity.
What a great opportunity - thank you Amisfield
