Giesen Limited Edition Organic Syrah 2016, Marlborough

Fragrant, pure, lifted aromatics of peppercorn and raspberry, dark berries and blue fruits. The scents of oak and dark spices of clove and vanilla add layers of complexity and depth. On the palate - delicious, balanced, just the right measure of oak against the backdrop of pepper and core of fruit. Tannins add in a smooth texture with a mealy edge, acidity is noticeable, but not invasive. Overall a lovely wine, balanced, lengthy and ready. Best drinking from today and through 2024.
