The Boneline Sharkstone Chardonnay 2018, Waipara, North Canterbury

Bottle Template (31).png

Fragrances of oak spice and toast, roasted white peaches and yellow nectarine, a fine nutty quality of cashew then a touch of baking spice. On the palate - weighty, creamy, toasty, fruity, quite luscious with a dry finish. Flavours mirror the nose with cashew and peach, apple and wood spices. Medium+-ish acidity, plenty of oak, but not too much, very generous in texture and flavour. There’s a core of crumbled stone minerality adding complexity and depth extending the finish and concentration. A balanced and well made wine. Best from today and through 2023.
