Giesen The August Sauvignon Blanc 2016, Marlborough

Bottle Template August).png

I have always enjoyed the bouquet and palate tease of the August - leesy, sweaty, steely, aromas of citrus and ripe pear, wild flowers and gently herbaceous fragrances, some fresh lychee and white peach. On the palate - a fine silky texture with medium acidity, flavours that mirror the nose and an intriguing flavour package that seems almost smoky, but is just the purity of fruit, spice and maturation on lees. Balanced and well made, ready to enjoy from today and through 2022+.
