Astrolabe Pinot Noir 2018, Marlborough

I really like the bouquet of this wine - it is pure, fresh, floral and varietal with aromas of sweet rose, red cherry, plum, some baking spices of oak- barrel and a scents of crushed stone minerality. On the palate - soft, silky, charming and elegant. Flavours reflect the bouquet with even more intensity - cherry, plum, red apple skin. Fine chalky tannins and a lovely top line of acidity all accentuated by barrel spice and mineral qualities. Balanced and well made, drinking nicely today and through 2024.
