Black Estate Treble Pinot Noir 2017, North Canterbury

Love the bouquet with a core of silty chalky minerality then aromas of sweet vanilla and dusty clove with a gentle smoky oak layer. On the palate - a dry wine led by a savoury, dried herb and dried rose beginning then red cherry, raspberry and a touch of plum. A lovely wine, youthful and fresh with firm tannins and medium+ acidity, contrasting fruit and layers of toasty oak. Balanced and well. Best drinking from today and through 2025.
