Wooing Tree Sandstorm Reserve Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2014, Central Otago

An alluring bouquet of Pinot Noir beginning with wood spices of clove and vanilla then cedar wood and toasty barrel. Next a core of black and red cherry, raspberry and baked red fruits pie. On the palate - dry, firm, youthful and vibrant with a tension and liveliness from tannins and acidity. The wood and fruit together contrast the bold structure, but show that this wine still needs cellar time to integrate and develop further. Nice lengthy finish. Drinking best from 2021 through 2026. Decant for service.
