Opaque, concentrated dark purple hues and equally dark staining of the tears. Aromas of black currant and dark chocolate, vanilla pod and toasty smoky wood. Some extra scents of boot polish and baked stones add complexity and intensity. A powerful wine on the palate with inky flavours of dark berries, baked plum and raspberry preserve. The oak adds intensity and flavours, toastiness and power. Medium+ tannins sit just behind a backbone of acidity and together frame the fruits very nicely. Firm and dry, youthful and lengthy. A wine best enjoyed from 2028 through 2038.
