St Hugo Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, Coonawarra

A rich and opulent bouquet of dark berries and wood spices, smoke and a touch of char, lead to the palate of the same. There’s no mistaking the core of blackberry and roasted plum flavours, clove and vanilla spices laced with new wood and a roasted nut quality. An abundance of fine tannins, but not too many that the wine can’t be enjoyed today on its own. Acidity contrasts the fruit power with oak, smoke and youthful drive doing the rest. Well made and ready to drink from day of purchase through 2029+.
