Colere Ashmore Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020, Marlborough

Fragrant, floral, complex and developing. A bouquet and palate of macerated cherry and plum, some pale raspberry flavours then a mix of earth and baking spices. A lovely texture and mouthfeel with some taut and fine grainy tannins, medium+ acid line and warming alcohol. There’s persistency and style, a touch of phenolic action towards the back palate adding breadth and complexity through the wine overall. Well made with a decent length and finish. Best drinking from 2025 through 2030+.
