Prim Organica Amursky Proryv, 2022, Primorsky, Russia
Very bright polished and youthful appearance, a bouquet of ripe to super-ripe red fruit scents of cherry and liquored- cherry fruits, raspberry, mangosteen fruits, exotic flowers and a touch of fruit spice. A dry wine on the palate with perhaps a small amount of residual sweetness, a decent line of acidity and moderate alcohol. Balanced and well made with a moderate finish. A wine that was better on day two and three. Super fine fruit tannins, there’s a natural quality with lift and freshness. My immediate reaction to the bouquet was that of a ruby port, this was the closest package of scents I could associate with this red wine expression. It is interesting, and a little fun, I am curious to try different vintages from this producer in the future. If you have some of this wine - best drinking from 2024 through 2030.
