Eight Ranges Pinot Noir 2021, Central Otago
Youthful, vibrant, a bouquet of pinoisty and some power, fragrances of dark cherry and wild spices, plums and baking spices from barrel and soil all form the foundation of this example. Dry, firm, youthful and textured on the palate with firm tannins and plenty of acidity. Fruit flavours of dark cherries, plums and savoury spice remain quite abundant. Moderate length, lots of texture, well made and still needing time to develop and integrate. Best drinking window seems to be from early 2025 through 2035.
