Kimura Cellars Chardonnay 2022, Marlborough

Aromas and flavours of grapefruit and spice, apple and quince, nut and stony soils. A dry wine with plenty of weight though not full-bodied. There’s a satin texture then a bite of acidity delivering an immediate contrast followed by flavours of white fleshed fruits and citrus. Fine tannins, some baking spice and cashew nut oak complexities. Well made, very youthful and overall very nice. Needs some time with best drinking from late 2024 through 2030.
