Coal Pit Tiwha Pinot Noir 2021, Central Otago

Always impressed by this expression of Pinot from the CP team. Aromas and flavours of mineral, spice, dried herb and savoury, pure red berry and plum fruits weaving between textures of tannins and acidity. Dry, taut, textured and complex with layers of flavours and mouthfeel delivering velvet through firm youthful tannins, medium+ acid line and well chosen barrel for spice, smoke and sweetness. Lengthy finish, well made and youthful. Best drinking from 2025 through 2035.
