Tohu Whenua Awa Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019, Upper Awatere, Marlborough

Youthful, complex, savoury with dried herbs then a core of dark plum and black cherry scents. There’s a core of spice and mineral adding aromatic texture as well as complexity. Dry, taut, youthful, complex and highly texture with firm tannins and medium+ acid line. The fruit flavours return with as much power and intensity as they first showed. A wine that will continue to develop building complexity as it ages. Best drinking from 2025 through 2035.
