Big Sky Pinot Noir 2021, Martinborough
An excellent example with pinosity, aromas and flavours of ripe red apple and cherry fruits, dry stones and hard soil mineral qualities, baking spices of vanilla and cinnamon, dried strawberry and old roses. Plush, ripe and fruity as the wine touches the palate then a taut texture from ripe tannins and baseline of acidity. Strawberry and savoury dried herbs, a whisper of tobacco oak, toasty barrel with clove and vanilla moments, a touch of gun flint then earthy mineral qualities. A lovely example with best drinking from 2024 through 2030+.
