Grava Pinot Noir 2019, Martinborough
Complex and enticing, aromas of primary and secondry development with fresh cherry and mushroom, some black currant and dried spice, very nice oak scents of a cashew nut and baking spice. On the palate a lovely taut texture with plenty of acidity and fine chalky tannins for mouthfeel then flavours of red berries, mushroom and a whisper of leather then barrel spices and a moderate toasty oak quality. Well made, youthful, velvet textures woven into the mouthfeel. Best drinking from 2023 through 2029.
