The Landing Chardonnay 2020, Bay of Islands, Northland

An elegant and pure expression of Chardonnay with a weighty texture and core fruit flavours that reflect the variety, but also show-off Northlands proclivity for the variety. On the palate there are flavours and textures of white fleshed orchard fruits laced with grapefruit and light nut barrel flavours of cashew then baking spice. A fine tannin texture with a youthful back-bone of acidity, a touch of gun-flint highlights a mineral note. A very good expression of the variety with complexity and freshness, charm and vibrato. Best drinking from 2022 through 2028.
