Tohu Single Vineyard 'Whenua Matua' Chardonnay 2019, Upper Moutere, Nelson
Aromas of yellow and white fleshed orchard fruits, sweet vannila and cream, some raw cashew nut and barrel spice combinations with a light seashell mineral quality. On the palate - A silky texture touches the palate first immediately contrasted by a core of orchard fruit flavours from stone fruit, a lemon citrus to a touch of quince. The barrel spices get a little stronger accentuated by some fine tannins then a chalky mineral quality. Youthful, fresh, complex and deliicous. this is a young wine still and can benefit from cellar time if you like. Best drinking from early to mid 2023 through2030.
