Main Divide Merlot Cabernet 2019, North Canterbury
Aromas and flavours of plums and black berry, some red currant and sweet cranberry. Mild oak influences add texture, weight and some baking spice flavours. Moderate tannins and medium+ acidity define the structure with red fruit flavours and some barrel spice flavours on the finish. Balanced and well made in a ready to drink style, though some cellar time would work as well. Best drinking from mid to late 2022 through 2026.
