Black Estate 'Home' Pinot Noir 2020, North Canterbury
Complex and new, a core of pinosity and sense of place with earth and mineral qualities then flavours of red apple and dark cherry, some sweet cranberry and wild flowers. There’s a natural wine vibe with forest flowers and mineral seams, fine tannins and complex savoury layers. The fruit core layers in contrast and pinosity while the oak provides foundation with low impact of wood flavour but some harmonising complexities. A lovely example ready to drink from 2023 through 2030+.
