A striking bouquet of power and ripeness, varietal aromas of dark berries and toasty wood and peppery black fruits. The smokiness of the oak is both strong on the nose and the palate. Nice weight and plenty of intensity, core fruit flavours mirror the bouquet with black currant and dark raspberry, roasted plums and layers of anise and clove, vanilla and wood smoke. There’s complexity and lots of atention seeking qualities. Best drinking from 2023 through 2029.
