Two Rivers 'Tributary' Pinot Noir 2020, Marlborough

Youthful, varietal, fruity and complex with seductive aromas of crushed red cherries and small red apple skin, moments of cranberry and old-fashioned roses, violet and an abundance of mineral and spice. On the palate - equally complex, but also very youthful suggesting cellar time and patience are needed to allow the complete harmonisation and expression to be realised. Flavours reflect the bouquet and with layers of fine chalky tannins, plenty of acidity, a savoury dried herb layer and a core of fruit before oak spices and soft barrel smoke layer in. A lovely wine that will rewards those who can wait. Best drinking from late 2022 or early 2023 and through 229.
