Alexander Vineyard 'Dusty Road' Pinot Noir 2020, Martinborough
Aromas of black and dark red cherry, black currant and silty mineral, wind blown earthy qualities. There’s dark spices from French oak. Youthful with an enticing complexity. Plenty of power and impact on the plate with youthful tannins and acidity bring in a strong foundation and warming alcohol which is contrasted by the core of dark berry fruit flavours reflecting the bouquet. There’s a tense savoury dried herb complexity. Youthful, fresh and vibrant with best drinking from 2022 through 2028+. This wine will benefit from cellaring and I look forward to re-tasting in 12-18 months.
