Folding Hill Pinot Noir 2017, Bendigo, Central Otago
Aromas of fresh red berries, plum, wild hill spices and flowers, stony mineral and baking spice scents of new and older barrel. There’s complexity, youth, charm and power with some age development adding some complexity. On the palate - tense, firm textures, poised, fruity, varietal and dry. Tannins are firm with chalky texture, acidity, refreshing, balanced and contrast the core of red cherry and tart raspberry and red currant flavours. Oak flavours and tannins are just beginning to integrate with a mild toasty and baking spices complexity. Give this wine some time to continue to melt together all the flavours and textures with best drinking from mid to late 2022 and through 2027+.
