Kahurangi Estate Merlot Cabernet 2018, Hawkes Bay

There’s no mistaking the strong scents of roasted plum and blackberry then an earthy clay and stone layered followed by toasty oak with clove and vanilla. On the palate - dry, spicy and fruity with flavours of plums and black cherry, black berry, kalamata olive and tobacco. Firm tannins and plenty of acidity and mild toasty wood flavours. Well made and ready to drink. I recommend to enjoy this wine with food. Best drinking from late 2021 through 2025.
