Dry River The Twelve Spies 2020, Martinborough

A core of dark ruby persistent to the rim where it changes to a youthful pink. Aromas of fresh boysenberry and black currant, some dark chocolate thoughts and a touch of white pepper and sweet spicy French oak layered through the core. On the palate - a dry wine with flavours of dark berries and baking spices then spicy toasty wood. Youthful, nicely complex and lengthy. Balanced yet quite youthful so will benefit from cellar time offering best drinking from mid to late 2022 through 2028+
