Burn Cottage Moonlight Race Pinot Noir 2019, Central Otago

Fabulous bouquet loaded with aromas of ripe, sweet red berry fruits, market fresh raspberry, very floral, youthful, fresh and decidedly complex. On the palate - even better with flavours that mirror the bouquet, an abundance of fine fruit tannins accentuated with acidity, minerality and a core of complexity. Wonderfully balanced, moderate weight, loads of finesse and charm with a lengthy finish. What I like most about this wine is the mouthfeel and persistent flavour profile. This is easily the best release of Moonlight Race to date. Best drinking from late 2022 through 2029. Tasted over three days this wine showed best on day three.
