Clos Henri Pinot Noir 2016, Marlborough

A really lovely bouquet, precise, pure, fresh, youthful and varietal with aromas of red apple and roses, light red berries and cherry, a clay stone soil suggestion, fine oak wood, spice and toastiness. Tasted over two days the wine reveals a lot more complexity on day two whilst holding onto the fresh red fruit and soil integrity. Equally complex, fine and youthful on the palate with fine wood and fruit tannins, medium+ acidity with a lengthy finish. Best drinking from today and through 2026.

Excellent

I also tried this wine with a new season asparagus, leek, corn, grated parmesan - cheese and hot smoked salmon - delicious match.
