Omaha Hills Long Red 2019, Auckland

This is a blended red wine from Malbec, Syrah and Cabernet Franc - aromas and palate flavours include - chocolate and blackberry, dark olive, plum and dried raspberry, some peppery moments and plenty of wood flavours - clove and dark vanilla. Tannins are abundant from the wood and fruit equally, medium+ alcohol and noticeable acidity. Lengthy smoky and toasty wood finish. A wine that needs time to settle and meld with best drinking from 2022 through 2026.
