Urlar The Mediator Pinot Noir 2017, Gladstone, Wairarapa

Very Good

An immediately enticing, varietal bouquet with aromas of roses and red cherries, red plums and raspberry. There’s a noticeable baking spice layer of oak and kitchen cupboard spices along with a whisper of bacon. On the palate - dry, tense, fruity and varietal. Tannins are firm, youthful and chalky in texture, there’s an earthy silty mineral core then flavours of red berries and plum, cherry and a sweet rose moment. Medium+ acidity, a satisfying finish with the voice of pinosity throughout the palate. Balanced and well made, ready to enjoy from today and through 2023+.
