Pyramid Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2019, Marlborough
A noticeably different expression of SB with aromas of wild flowers then citrus, sweet hay then baked apple and peach, a leesy earthy almost flinty mineral layer. Complex, youthful, engaging and with a hint of lemon and chamomile tea. On the palate - youthful, fresh, tense, fruity, complex and dry. Varietal flavours of citrus and stone fruits, a grassy hay layer, spice and dried herb. The tea and wild flowers layer continues. Plenty of acidity and complexity, varietal and lengthy, balanced and well made. A different and fine expression to be adventurous with. Best drinking from today and through 2023+.
