Forrest Chardonnay 2017, Marlborough

Forrest Ch17.jpg

An immediately appealing wine with direct and almost powerful aromas of nutty toasty oak with vanilla, brazil nut, caramel, raw sugar (oak) and roasted yellow stone fruits then lemon. On the palate - a direct reflection of the bouquet with flavours of baked peach, apricot and fresh red apple. Full-bodied, medium acidity, some wood tannin moments, brown baking spices, nut and a quiet warm stone mineral layer, a lengthy, balanced and even finish. Best drinking from today and through 2023.
