Georges Road Selection Pinot Gris 2017, Waipara, North Canterbury

Ripe, fruity, developed and ready. Aromas and flavours of sweet yellow apple and honeysuckle, quince and a soft white pepper spice. Medium acidity, calm creamy-ish texture, medium+ weight and a balanced even finish. On the second taste the flavours and textures begin to develop on the palate adding a layer of leesy autolysis accentuated with a whisper of ginger spice. Gently warming alcohol and a nudge of fruit sweetness adds length and weight. Best drinking from today and through 2022.
