Alexia Fleeting Glimpse Pinot Noir 2019, Wairarapa

Bottle Template13.png

Vibrant, varietal, youthful, fruity and engaging bouquet with aromas of dark cherries and old black currant jam, dark roses and soft brown baking spice layers, some toasty wood clove then vanilla. On the palate - dry, firm textured and fruity. Flavours reflect the nose with berries and wood, there’s tension too from the acidity and firm tannins. The core of fruit kicks back in again after a time. A wine best left to mature for some months to allow the harmonies and final true voice of the wine to be realised. Best drinking from late 2021 or early 2022 through 2025+.
