Amisfield Pinot Noir 2016, Central Otago
Library tasting
Deep ruby core, persistent to the rim where is changes to a pink and translucent purple. Very youthful bouquet with complexity, charm and primary fruit scents of raspberry and cherry, dried herbs and a touch of wild thyme. On the palate - vibrant, young, fresh, lively and engaging with new tannins of fruit and oak as well as medium+ acidity and new oak flavours. Fruit flavours repeat contrasted by chalky tannins and a fresh acid line. Lengthy finish, youthful and quite delicious. Drink or leave in the cellar, but a wine to finish by the 2024.
What a great opportunity - thank you Amisfield
