Amisfield Pinot Noir 2007, Central Otago
Library tasting
Great colour with a core of ruby, fading ruby and red with a clear orange hue at the rim. Developed bouquet but still show a touch of primary red fruits then secondary and the beginnings of tertiary. As the wine opens up in glass the primary red fruits show more - red berries, cherry, desiccated cherry and plum then gentle brown spices of oak and smoke. On the palate - fine, clean, balanced, still with some freshness from acidity, well integrated tannins showing some chalky texture, medium+ length and complex finish.
What a great opportunity - thank you Amisfield
