Pirinoa Road Chardonnay 2018, Hawkes Bay

Fruity, fleshy, ripe, toasty vanilla scents, some floral and quince notes then apple and peach. On the palate - a rounded almost creamy texture with contrasting acidity with a bite of oak. Flavours of apple and peach, quince and citrus adding depth and breadth. Fine wood tannins and medium acidity, balanced, youthful and tasty. Nice wine, could do with some more time in bottle with best drinking from late 2020 through 2024.
