Tohu Whenua Matua Albarino 2018, Upper Moutere, Nelson

Tohu Alba.jpg

Delicate, floral then fruity with aromas and flavours of yellow fruits and citrus, peach and lemon then a leesy spice and soft ginger note. Fresh and youthful with prominent acid line contrasted by the core of fruit. There’s a distinctive texture that is at first soft and creamy then turns firmer towards the back palate - this is typical of the variety and shows nicely in this example. The wine finishes with a citrus, mandarin and peach flavours. Balanced and well made, best drinking from today and through 2022.
