Seresin Syrah 2016, Marlborough

Intense and fruity, wood and varietal fruit spices, precise and attention seeking bouquet. Aromas and flavours of raspberry and dark cherry, peppercorn and toasty barrel. Also a youthful wine still with firm tannins and a back-bone of acidity, contrasting fruit intensity and savoury, pepper and dried herb layer. Complex and well made, drinking nicely now, but will also continue to develop over the next couple of years. Best drinking from today and through 2025. Decant for service and perhaps best enjoyed with food.
