Paddy Borthwick 'Left Hand' Pinot Noir 2019, Wairarapa
Savoury, fruity, varietal, almost steely, but nice and complex with compelling aromas of raspberry, plum and cherry, wood spices and silty earthy qualities. On the palate - fruit centric with concentrated red berry flavours that reflect the nose, firm youthful and ripe fruit tannins, medium+ oak with baking spices and chalky oak tannins. A young wine still developing its story and needing cellar time. Well made and ready from early 2022 through 2030.
