Lawson's Dry Hills Ranu 2020, Marlborough

lawsonhills.png

Ranu is a Maori word meaning mix - this mix is a co-fermented Pinot Gris, Riesling and Gewurztraminer - showcasing aromas of citrus fruits and white flowers, stone mineral, apple, lees and white peach. It’s exotic with an intriguing level of complexity, but not overdone. On the palate - weighty, creamy, tense, warm, spicy and fresh. Flavours of fruits reflect the nose with contrasting medium+ acidity and a lovely leesy, mineral finish. Well made, lengthy and perfect as a food wine and quite delicious on its own. Best drinking from today and through 2025+.
