Stewart Town The Bounder Pinot Noir 2017, Bannockburn, Central Otago

No mistaking the Pinosity and sense of place on the nose of this wine - aromas of roses and raspberry, dark cherry and dried herbs, smoky oak with vanilla and clove spices. Overall complex and very attractive. On the palate - dry contrasted by a core of fruit and dried herb flavours. Plenty of acidity and firm youthful tannins adding structure poise and length. A well made wine with some bottle development time ahead. Decant for service through 2020. Ideal drinking from 2021 through 2026.
