Ripe, varietal and pure fruited bouquet - red apple, pear, sweet Meyer lemon and white flowers. Off-dry on the palate with a vibrant core of fruit attack showing off the citrus fruit and highlighting a mineral and wet river stone flavour as well as contrasting the sweetness. A delicious wine - perfect as an aperitif or with light-weight appetisers. Drinking well now and through 2025.

Valli Gibbston Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018, Central Otago

An immediately engaging bouquet with aromas of baking spices and fruit, wood smoke and vanilla. Fresh red cherries and red apple skin, crushed red flowers and a touch of rocky minerality. There’s texture and vibrato in the bouquet which translates through to the palate with fine chalky tannins and a soft unfiltered suggestion. Youthful, fresh and lively on the palate with flavours that reflect the nose plus a soft wild thyme note, earthy and fruity, balanced and lengthy. Nice wine, drinking well now and through 2025.

Valli Bannockburn Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018, Central Otago

Immediately engaging bouquet with aromas of fresh and preserved berry fruits, wild thyme then oak. As the wine opens up the aromas and flavours develop releasing layers of minerality and wood spices, fruit and pinosity. The structure shows off a dry, layered, spicy, fruity and youthful wine loaded with texture, flavour and pinosity. A really good wine, enjoyable, tasty, varietal, fresh and lengthy. Fine tannins with a chalky edge, nice acid line and lengthy finish with a developing complexity. Drinkable today, will benefit from time in your cellar. Best from 2021 through 2026+.
