Nanny Goat Super Nanny Pinot Noir 2017 Central Otago

Distinctive bouquet of Pinot with aromas of baking spices and toasty oak, dark cherry and dried raspberry. Complex and very alluring with a core of roses and heirloom red apple skin, stony schist soils and oak. Dry, firm and youthful structure with ripe, abundant firm tannins, plenty of acidity, fruit and oak all vying for attention. A wine that needs to integrate through to at least 2022 before tasting again. Decant for service before then. Best from 2022 through 2028.

Crunchy, crisp, ripe and fruity bouquet of Pinot Noir. Aromas of fresh red cherry and baked raspberry, dark wood spices of cinnamon and clove, some vanilla and toasty wood scents follow. Dry, crisp, fruity and varietal on the palate with flavours that mirror the nose. Fine to moderate tannins showing some youthful tension and grip. Plenty of acidity and core of flavour to carry this wine for a few years yet. Best drinking from 2020 through 2024.
