Varietal with a ripe and refreshing bouquet of Pinot Noir. Red apple and cherry, raspberry and light red plum. A light rose and gentle savoury undertone, moderate layer of oak with vanilla and spice. Dry, tense, fruity and poised for ageing. Fine to moderate tannins, medium+ acidity, youthful and well made. Drink from now and through 2024.

Gladstone Vineyard Daikins Road Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018, Wairarapa

Attractive bouquet and quite complex. Aromas of sweet oak, roses, vanilla and red fruits of ripe cherry and plum, vanilla and toasty wood spices. Equally as attractive on the palate with flavours that mirror the nose - equally complex and layered on the palate with firm chalky tannins, medium+ acidity and a savoury lengthy finish. Balanced and well made with a lengthy finish. A lovely wine to enjoy from today and through 2025.
