Old Coach Road by the Seifried Family Chardonnay 2018 Nelson

A really lovely bouquet of Chardonnay with aromas of sweet citrus, yellow orchard fruits, apple and sweet vanilla spice of oak. Dry, youthful firm texture with flavours of citrus, tart apple, some orchard fruits and oak wood flavour. A fine wood tannin note adds texture and length on the palate enhanced by youthful acidity and slightly warming alcohol. The familiar layers of of a young Chardonnay also show with a light mineral layer intertwined with a nut and cold butter layer. Well made, youthful, very nice. Best drinking from late 2020 through 2024.
