Te Whau Vineyard
Te Whau Vineyard The Point CS, Mer, CF, Malb, PV 2014 Waiheke Island
Dark berries, very toasty oak, broody and bold. Clove and dark spices of oak lead the bouquet with dark plums, blackberry, hay, tobacco and spice. Dry, almost full-bodied, plenty of acidity and welcoming alcohol, flavours of dark berries, firm youthful tannins and medium+ acidity. Youthful, tense, fruity and poised for ageing. Overall medium+ complexity and length. Decant for service or best to cellar with best drinking from 2022 through 2032.
