Smith and Sheth 'Heretaunga' Chardonnay 2016 Hawkes Bay

Very engaging bouquet centering on the use of ripe fruit and oak. Aromas of ripe white and yellow peach grapefruit and lemon tones then apple. Plenty of wood scents with vanilla and and baking spices, toasty oak and cashew. Dry on the palate with flavours that reflect the nose, plenty of wood and ripe fruit, medium+ acidity and lengthy finish. Balanced though quite youthful and developing still. Drink now and through 2026.
